In Late 2010, Adam Meghji and partner Matt Pancer founded Deez Lights, a revolutionary LED light panel product marketed specifically to the skateboarding industry. Deez Lights uses 126 powerful LED lights instead of standard bulbs, is lightweight, has a battery life up to 8 hours, has a dimmer switch, and mounts on any camera with a hot shoe adapter. Given the number of hobbyist and pro-sumer videographers emerging in the skateboard industry, and our pre-existing access to this demographic, this product has the potential to greatly impact extreme sports videography.
Adam’s contributions include e-commerce site creation on the Shopify platform, 100% custom theme development, managing overseas manufacturing, freight forwarding,payment broker integration, fulfilment house integration, and managing online marketing campaigns.
During 5 years in leadership roles at Metavera, Adam passionately applied his technical and business skills in the product development of Autovera: the world’s most advanced Car Sharing platform. Car Sharing uses technology to provide a convenient, self-serve, and environmentally-friendly alternative to car ownership at a fraction of the cost. Autovera provides the technology necessary to operate and grow a successful car sharing business.
Adam’s current focus is in leading new implementations and supervising new car share operations through their first few months of business. Adam also leads the product support team, who ensures daily satisfaction of Metavera’s rapidly-expanding customer base across USA, Canada, Europe, South America, and Australia.

Earwaks.com is an online media outlet and company focused on bringing our audience the latest and greatest in fresh, inspiring urban music and lifestyle content.
In 2002, Adam Meghji founded the site after discovering a need among musicians & artists lacking in online presence, and without the ability to themselves create interactive, mixed media, user-contributed web communities (i.e. a “blog” in today’s terms). A coding experiment quickly became a part time business with 2,000+ regular visitors/day, active user forums, an online store, successful local events with attendance in the hundreds, and a consulting / professional services division.
During its 8 years in operation, Earwaks provided an invaluable platform for many artists’ professional development before today’s platforms like Wordpress, Facebook, and the iTunes Music Store became commonplace.
As an alternative to repeated phone calls, faxes and complex spreadsheets, clients can use ARM to find the best rates for transportation within their own carrier pool. The system can be queried to return results on specific types of shipments, lanes, and modes. Use of ARM can also increase carrier compliance and savings by driving management decisions on best cost carrier selection to the shipping floor. Finally, ARM can be used to internally audit freight billing to ensure accuracy.
Adam was involved with software engineering of the complete ARM system in Java/J2EE, incl. web services, data warehouse, and a service-oriented query and analysis tool. The project shipped and remained actively in use by customers for several years.

FIS allows clients to view shipping & transportation costs by carrier, by distribution centre, by billing period, by invoice, or by almost any criteria required in Logistics. Recurring, and costly, freight purchase patterns can be identified along with over-billing, double-billing, poor implementation of contracted business rules, and other freight billing discrepancies.
Adam was involved in software engineering of a rich desktop-like web application with a very innovative drill-down reporting engine, data entry system, and invoicing engine. The project shipped and was deployed at clients incl. Coca-Cola (Canada) Ltd and Italpasta Limited.

In late 2003, Adam Meghji built a custom e-commerce site for Earwaks.com featuring unique Music, Art, and Clothing by artists across Canada, USA, UK, and Russia. Products sold included CDs, Vinyl, MP3 downloads, T-shirts, fashion accessories, and one-of-a-kind paintings.
Of particular interest were the MP3 downloads. At the time, the Earwaks Store was one of the first online distributors of MP3 downloads in Canada, and launched exactly 1 year prior to the iTunes Store in Canada.

Reset Clothing is a fashion retail outlet located on Queen West in Toronto. Reset needed an online store to supply customers with boutique T-Shirts, Jackets, Denim, Sneakers, Accessories, Design, and other goods.
Adam was contracted to develop a heavily-customized online store in PHP based on the osCommerce engine. Every aspect of the site was tailored with custom code. The customer was provided with a simplified control panel for easy updating of new product stock, and straightforward inventory management.
The result was a visually stunning and highly functional online store.
